Affiliate Disclosure
UK Betting Ledger is funded through affiliate commissions. This page explains how that works, what it means, and how we maintain editorial independence.
What affiliate marketing means on this site
UK Betting Ledger participates in affiliate programmes operated by the betting platforms listed on this site. An affiliate programme means that we have a commercial agreement with an operator: when a user arrives at that operator's site via a link on our site and completes a qualifying action — typically registering a new account and making an initial deposit — we receive a commission payment from the operator.
This is the primary source of revenue for this site. The site does not charge users any fee. Access to our content is free.
How commissions are structured
Commission arrangements vary by operator. Common structures include:
- Cost-per-acquisition (CPA): A fixed payment per qualifying new customer referred.
- Revenue share: A percentage of the net revenue generated by referred customers over time.
- Hybrid: A combination of an initial CPA and an ongoing revenue share.
We do not publish the specific commission terms for individual operators, as these are subject to commercial agreements. However, the existence of a commercial relationship is always disclosed — which is what this page does.
Does commission affect our editorial scores?
No. Our editorial scores are formed using a consistent methodology applied equally to all listed products. Commission rate, affiliate tier, or commercial relationship does not influence how a product is scored, described, or ranked on this site. Products are not ranked by which operator pays the highest commission.
Our Editorial Review Policy describes the criteria we use and our commitment to applying them consistently.
Identifying affiliate links
Links to betting operator sites on this page are affiliate links. They are labelled as such in our cards (you will see “Affiliate link” noted near operator CTAs). These links may contain tracking parameters in the URL (such as utm_source, ref, or campaign) that identify this site as the referring source.
Clicking these links costs you nothing extra. You will arrive at the same operator page you would reach if you typed the address directly.
What you should know before clicking
Visiting an operator via our link does not commit you to anything. You are free to explore the operator's site, read their terms, and decide whether or not to register. A commission is only generated if you complete a qualifying action as defined by the operator's affiliate programme terms.
Before registering with any betting operator, you should read their full terms and conditions, verify their regulatory status, and be satisfied that the product is appropriate for you. We recommend verifying UKGC licensing directly at gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
Regulatory context
This disclosure is provided in line with the UK's Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the ASA CAP Code, which require that commercial relationships in editorial content are clearly disclosed. We are committed to transparency about how this site is funded.
